Agree with the above posts, ML...generally not interchangeable without some serious work. Scooby here made mention of turning down a scrolled cylinder. I should think you could do it quite easily simply by running a proper sized bolt through the bore, double-nutting it on the other end and chucking it up in a drill press, then turning the engraving off with a simple single-cut file followed by sandpaper, finishing up with fine emery cloth. Bluing? I've had very good luck with the Oxpho-Blu gel from Brownell's, having completely refinished 2 complete guns with it with pretty decent results for an amateur.
It's a thought, anyway...
