Mike, is that sitting on a pic of Frank James in the background?
FJ was a lifelong fan of the '75 Remmy.

So, if I may ask, what did Frank use during the ACW, especially in the guerilla years and afterward pre-1875?

I have not seen it mentioned. I would assume '58 Remmy but that's my own speculation.

The former CEO of Makers Mark has a 51 navy he says was Franks gun that Frank gave to his great great grandfather for hiding him in his store the day before he surrendered. His last gun was a 1903 Colt. He also has Franks CW pardon. https://civilwartalk.com/threads/frank-james-1851-navy-colt.107799/

I have one of these. Nice gun, and not your standard 1873 clone.
