My daughter and I did some baking this morning and this evening I put together a dinner fit for a king.

Pork loin roast, new red potatoes, and peas for dinner. Picked up two small standing rib roasts today. Hanging stuff on the tree tonight. We have many boxes of decorations to go through tonight. I tried to tell my wife that we should decorate the tree with robotic hedgehogs and bottles of wine, but she didn't go for it.

I haven't 'done a 'bloody thing all day' except drink coffee and eat Christmas candy.  It's nice like that.  I like good chop but am not a foodie.

Last week - got up at dawn, drove over to the stables where I park/board a mare, rode up into the trees and shot a Pietta '60.  It was cold that morning and you could see the horse's breath and the smoke mixed with a little fog and very slowly scudded away.  The trees were dripping from dew and the night's rain.  I like that, a lot.

I like it when the smoke just hangs in the air. I like shooting in a light rain where the smoke just hangs there until the rain washes it away.

Sounds like an amazing photo op, G! Some things you just can't bottle and sell.
