Yeah it was a real lesson learned, first time I had attended the show. I'm used to the "Silverado" shows around here, where you'll find 4 or 5 cool items and a boatload of beat up bolt action slug guns and pump action .22 shorts which aren't really my cup o' tea.

Holy S***!

Used two hours, one pick ax, a splitting maul, 3 saws, a tow rope and a jeep to get 1/5th of the water iris bed out of the pond. And there were some real "Hold ma beer and watch this" moments.

Look out! Here comes the pick ax! Duck!

That sounds like work! I drained gas, prepped the snowblower for next snow season and put it away in the shed. Started the Kubota, fired right up, ready to do a little work when I get a round tuit.

Already started work here...

Bought a different saw and removed another couple pieces of iris bed from the pond. Also cleaned the filter and pump. The fishes are starting to poke their noses out of hiding.

Cutting up 8 cords of fire wood, and checking a net auction for an original 1851 Colt Navy that I'm bidding on.

Been cliff hanging.
After some near heart attacks I won the bid on a 1851 original Colt Navy in good condition. If my eye is nearly correct, I made the buy of the year.
More on this when the treasure is safely arrived from abroad.

Repaired the air conditioning on a Pit Viper blast hole drill, and worked on the fiber optic communication cables in the lower I/O cabinet on a P&H 2800A mining shovel

Getting ready to take out the last piece of the iris bed from the pond. Then I'll clean the filter and pump and let the water clear for a bit before starting on catching and moving the fish.

Got kilted up for breakfast...

Then went back and cleared the rest of the plants out of the pond.

This, and the fish is all that's left in the pond...

Well, almost. There's about six inches of sludge and water in the bottom, but the fish have all been moved.

TJ waiting for the water to get low enough for him to catch a fish. He was unsuccessful...

Worried fish...

Net the fish - into the tub...

Temporary home...

Moving the 300-lb onyx boulder was fun...

Looks like tough work EM but a real nice pond area, I'm jealous.
