Thanks Capt!

It's a 2012 with only 60k miles. It has all the options, including locking diffs and swaybar disconnect. On top of it all, it has a really nice sound/Nav system in it. We paid 28K out the door.

Let's see...28K converted to PED's (Pietta Equivalent Dollars) is roughly 93.3 revolvers. Just sayin'... _*&

Well, that is low mileage, but I traded my Silverado in 4 years ago with 60K miles, and that was a 2000!

Mostly sleep, so far. Last night, I had to repair a wiring short that the daytime guy said he fixed (he was lying, as usual).

Since it is gonna be off and on rain and lower than normal temps for the next few days, my wife decided to make some chili. Big batch in a 10 quart Dutch oven, MMM-mmm!

My wife was going to make chili but we went grocery shopping and they had cooked ribs and we bought those. She will make chili tomorrow.

Nothing better than home-made chili, stews, and soups!

Speaking of chili..........I'm doing chili's of another variety. 50 lbs of Hatch "Big Jim" chili's roasted and put into the freezer (well....some of it made it to the freezer). It might last a few months. Definitely need to do more next year.

Freshly roasted, peeled, warm off the grill on a warmed flour tortilla slathered with butter and a sprinkle of salt and garlic is a wondrous thing.

We've been to Hatch a few times; my parents lived in Las Cruces.

That would be mandatory if you're in Las Cruces. Nice short trip. The Chili festival was this weekend, wish I could have made it this year. Maybe next year.....

We do too.... but we already have half a ristra left from out last trip. I use them for enchilada sauce and as a base for salsa. They don't go nearly as fast at our house as the fresh green ones though. Roasted and frozen green ones keep a long time.....but I have a tendency to eat them fast enough to have never tested how long.

We went to our DMV today to re-new our licenses and get the Real ID driver's license. We were prepared for the usual long wait, but were surprised when everything moved along smoothly. Well, almost... my wife didn't have her State Birth Certificate (Michigan) only her hospital certificate. So she just got the regular license. We left home at 9:45 and were home at 11:00, 46 minutes driving time. Not too bad.

We have broken records for the coldest high temperature 2 succeeding days, 52* yesterday and 50* today. Those records were last set in 1917! Rain most of the day today, wish we could send some out west! Wind chill?! In early September?
