Hey Dragoon, I dont think we disagree on much of anything regarding this BP background check thing. Im just surprised that we can get them as easily as we do and that anyone can, even in California, of all places. Youre correct, a bad buy can weapon-up with anything
a rock, broken bottle, sharp screwdriver, fists and elbows, anything.
As to convicted felons: Some people think that any felony conviction is enough of a statement of moral character as to justify a life time ban. The example of statutory rape is useful. Hes 18 shes 17 (looks like 23, boom-in) and he gets a lifetime ban. Say an 18 year old (on a stupid day) steals a bicycle or something worth over four hundred dollars . In Cali, upon conviction, no guns for him/her, ever. Some people think thats fair, but I dont.
I know a bad guy when I read his file
and many of the people this rule applies to have turned out good honest safe citizens and should eventually have their rights restored.
Ima hard ass on violent and/or repeat offenders, but on occasion the harshest punishment is sometimes not the best punishment
and sometimes it is, depends.
Concealed carry, where you HIDE the exercise of your right to carry arms. ![shame ^j)](https://coltcountryforum.com/smileys/default/shame.gif)
PUSTIC Why give away the tactical advantage you have in being armed in the first place by flashin it around? In public places, unless the person is in a uniform, they should conceal the weapon.
