Hi, the nitride finished kit Uberti Walker with dovetail sight has been sighted in so that poi=poa @ 25yds using a Howell .45 Colt conversion cylinder. Using my new tripod to sight in, it only took 6 shots to perfectly sight the revolver in. Moving back to 50yds has this revolver producing beautiful groups from the tripod of 2". I'm happy when I can get a rifle to shoot that well. This Walker sighted in is a wonderful precision shooting machine. The weight of the revolver using two hand hold produces groups almost as good as when using the tripod. I can understand the interest in using a Walker for hunting.

This is the Walker as I came back in the house after sighting in.

IMO you don't know what you are missing if you never own a Walker.

Regards,
Richard

That's great work Richard.  Sounds like your sighting in procedure is really dialed in.

I'll be over tomorrow to do some shooting..

Hi Whip, thank you for the kind comment. You are invited to shoot at my range any time you would like. The weather is supposed to be good tomorrow. I have plenty of ammo, balls, powder, caps, and white paint available for renewing the targets:

What time will you be here?

Getting poi=poa on a number of my revolvers have been good projects.

What's especially nice is that I now have Mike's blessing on buggering my revolvers.  ;)

Regards,
Richard

That is one slick range, Richard!
Wish I lived closer.
Glad you achieved POA with the big Walker.

Thanks Richard, maybe someday I'll be out your way, it would be fun.

Superb range setup you've got there.

Now that was funny!
My biggest concern is that when I pass away, my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

Hi, doing a dovetail sight the hard way:

Mike used to be a member of the Remmy board, but I guess he has outgrown us. If he was still active he would have learned about that neat dovetail jig and have done a better dovetail job without messing up his bluing.

Regards,
Richard
