This is an old post, however i would like to resurrect it for the originality of the trapdoor project.

Where did you find the stock?

Ted, the stock was a pre-carve ordered from George Peterson (Treebone Carving) a few years ago. I was working on it when we had an indoor "flood" while we were away and the stock got wet. When we got home the wood was swollen, stained, rusty. I was so upset/disappointed that I set it aside for several months before finally deciding to see if I could rescue the project.

Very cool. Gotta say that I find it interesting to say the least. I would like to pursue this as a project for myself. Thanks for the info on the stock.

Tis what I need ... nother project 🤣

I went through most of the PhotoBucket mess and restored some of the pictures, the ones I could find now.

Yes, nice job there, Mazo. But a long time. So by now you probably have shot it ???
We're all eagerly waiting for the range report, if you don't mind me saying so.

Nothing serious, just some offhand plinking with the lighter weight bullets.

I know this is old (again) but I came across some pictures that were deleted in the upgrade. Here is the receiver with the forearm hanger.
