Hey Dellbert,

That is the same sale price with shipping over $99 free.  Mine is "on the truck" for delivery today.  Pretty excited about it.

So, after missing the UPS guy on delivery attempt 1, I caught him yesterday and my 1860 is now here.  Broke it down this morning and gave it a good cleaning.  Not really finding much to complain about.  The timing seems spot on and no really obvious burrs or machining marks.  The cylinder gap is .06. The wedge was tapped in pretty solid but came out without any choice language and the nipples all came out really easily, they did have a little rust on the threads but after cleaning and a little anti-seize they should be fine.  I do plan to replace them with Tresos, the Possibles Shop is currently out of stock however.  I didn't find any of the screws overly tightened, wedge screw was probably stickiest of the bunch.

It might just be me but the action doesn't feel as stiff right out of the box than the previous Pietta 1851 I bought.  Don't know if it's really smoother or if the larger grip just makes cocking it feel different.  Even though I have smaller hands, the larger grip feels comfortable.  Overall really pleased with it, I will post some pics later today or tomorrow when I have a chance.

Hi whip, congratulations on getting a fine 1860. The Pietta's come out of the box in much better shooting condition than Ubertis. The Pietta is ready to shoot, the Ubertis a kit gun. When you get the courage to tighten up the gap some, a little filing of the arbor is in order.

BTW, you know the rules here, no photo, it didn't happen.  )lI )lI )lI

Good fro you Whip.   It's a good looking one.   Let us know how it shoots.    We like photos of dirty revolvers too.

Hi whip, that's a fine looking 1860, thanks for posting the photos. If your revolver shoots as good as it looks, you're in for some great fun.

I look forward to seeing your shooting report for your new revolver.

Regards,
Richard

Thanks fellas,

I am going to have some solid range time coming up in a couple of weeks.  Will file a range report and let you know how it shoots.  Looking forward to it.

yep that is mine almost exactly. i ran into some sticky problems but figured out it is along side the hammer is getting fouled up badly and i am certain it is because of the nipples in the stock cylinder setup.

i would mention that these nipples that come with the revolver from Pietta ... {mine anyway} ... have way too large of holes in them and also the #10's dont fit all the way down and ya gotta squeeze the 11's to get em to stay put.

all in all i think new nipples with cure my problems and hopefully yours will not be as persnickety as mine has been.

still n all mine is smooth and timed perfectly as well. im bettin you will have a bunch of fun with it with 30 grain loads of GOEX 2Fg powder. this allows either a wad under the ball or place to stuff grease over the ball.

great lookin revolver my friend.  (@+
