Well, this isn't a black powder gun exactly, nor is it a Colt. But it's special enough I had to brag on it.
This is a Browning High Wall chambered in .45/70 Gov't. I could shoot 500gr cast lead boolit black powder loads if I wanted, but it's really set up more for smokeless loads with barrel twist, etc, plus I worry about getting a falling block breech clean, so I shoot my own smokeless hand loads out of it, topped with the Remington 405gr jacketed flat point bullet. Even with open buckhorn sights, from a bench rest this thing can and will shoot a 3 shot group you can cover with a quarter. The fit and finish is
outstanding.
