Hi all!
I bought a couple of replicas on Gunbroker the other day. The descriptions were a bit vague but I took a bit of chance cause the prices were right. So I got them today and while they are possibly the coolest BPs I've got I actually don't know what they are.
The first photos are of the pair together.
The top is an Replica Arms 1860 full flute Army - right? The roll mark is a bit rubbed out but you can tell it says "Replica Arms ?NO. Maretta Ohio Made in Italy" It's very well made, tight and locks up nice. It's been fired. The brass has a nice patina like it might be from the 60s or 70s. It's actually a little bit smaller overall than my Pietta 1860 Army. I gave $325 for it - I jumped on it due to the fluted cylinder. I'm pretty new to all of this but from reading I've picked up some keywords.
The bottom is the bigger mystery to me. The descjiption said ASM Black Power .36 caliber. I wasn't sure exactly what it was (sometimes the sellers have to guess at it) - but for $124 I took a chance. So I get it today and it's almost like a miniature gun! Ha! So I'm thinking maybe a pocket of some sort. It has the semi-fluted cylinder - and it's 5 shot. I don't see ASM on it anywhere - just some stamps. Like the other it's been fired but in really nice shape, tight.
So if someone would educate me on what I have I would appreciate it. I'm happy with them but did I do okay price-wise?
Thanks!
