L&R models have a steel frame and round barrel, not octagon like the one pictured in Midway's ad.

I’m in the market for a L&R but an 1851 Navy by any other name is still an 1851 Navy.  Pietta should sell a Leech; they already make the right parts.

Hi Richard,
As Mike sez it has a round barrel, but the significance to me is that Leech & Rigdon copied Colt 1851 but made their guns for
the South during the Civil War. So being a  )-* I got mine for that reason. I have a few other CSA guns.
