If I had it it would be in a Boyds stock with a bent bolt handle and scope mounts and a jeweled bolt.
It is a nice rifle. Very nice.

How did you clean off all the grime off the stock? I have an 1895 Spandau GEW88 I want to restore.

There was no grime on this stock or else were, what you're seeing is essentially a brand new original condition rifle. It was issued but stored very well and never used. Never had cosmo touch it.

Nope, it is in it's original caliber 11.15×60mmR Mauser (.43 Mauser).
And was originally issued to the 2nd Grenadiers "King Frederick William IV" Reserve Regiment based in Stettin as part of II Army Corps.

That is one....NICE.....rifle! I have one but it was shortened. A friend of mine has one he bought for $5.00 .....65 years ago, that is quite nice. Have you shot yours yet? I have the Lee reloading dies and 2 different bullet molds and have made brass. My friend bought a box of Bertram brass for his rifle. They are a blast (pun intended) to shoot. Here is a thread I posted on our sister forum.

I have also made some brass from 300 Win. Mag brass, but that is very labor intensive!
