Possible Griswold and Gunnison
« on: February 14, 2018, 06:30:06 PM »
Any one in the market for a G&G, on GB for a decent "buy it now" price. The seller is listing it as a Traditions Confederate Brass .44, and it appears he has used the stock picture from the Traditions site as well as their copy-and-paste description.

The picture is a nearly identical copy of my Pietta G&G .36 with a (maybe) tail grip, which would make it a 2014 [CM] or earlier pistol. Mine is a 2015 [CN] date and I got it from Cabela's for $220 three years ago.

I have a Q into the seller to see if it is in fact a .36. I am thinking the seller just looked at the Traditions number on the box and went from there.

Please read the seller's description and compare.

I dunno. The Traditions pic is wrong for a .44. The pic is a no tail .36. You would have to verify what you were getting.

On the Traditions web site, the listing for the .44 has a picture of a .36 & the listing for the .36 has the picture of a .44.  Good luck.

Good luck is right! I find that the Traditions site is about as accurate with pics as the Cabela's site.  (7+"

Still awaiting a reply from the seller. Probably should not hold my breath.
