An 1860, finally...
« on: August 22, 2018, 03:02:07 PM »
I've had my eyes open for an 1860 at a price I wanted to pay. The few that showed up on the market around here were too much money, or in bad shape, or both.

Stopped by the local gun shop this morning and spotted a Pietta 1860 in the case. It is an unfired 1860 with box, and all original paperwork.

Price - $189.

Gave them $100 to hold it for me, and I'll pick it up next week. Pics then.

My Pietta 1860's are my favorites. I think you'll like it.

Picked up the 1860 this morning. Brand new, recent manufacture, good color on the frame, never been fired, spotless - $189.

The top gun is my 2nd gen 1851.

Congrats. I know for sure that you will enjoy your new 60. My Pietta required some work but not much and she is a great shooter. I really like the 60 grips, my big ol hands fit them very nicely. I even bought a grip frame setup for my 2nd gen Colt SAA.

Can not wait to hear your experience with your first outing with it.

What year was it manufactured?
What are the 2 letters in the box on the right side of the frame?

I already know it's 2016 manufacture.
