Making smoke in SoCal
« on: December 18, 2018, 11:32:47 AM »
Hello everyone!

New to the board and just wanted to introduce myself. I was directed here by a friend on another board. I poked around and really like it here!

My main gun interests are in BP pistols. Mainly Colts (replicas). I have a few as seen in the picture below. I'll get signed up at a photo hosting site, so I don't have to use attachments.

Hoping to learn a lot more and excited to see everyone's stuff!

Thanks for having me!

Thanks G Dog!

We've met? Where? Small world isn't it?!?!

The family and I are planning our escape from here as we speak. Hoping by the summer to be in another state.

The R&S is actually headed to a new owner. It's just not my style and it would have just sat in the safe. So I traded it off for a Navy!

Welcome aboard, Dave! Nice little fambily you got there...

Thank you Sir! I love them, one and all!

I have a quick question. How long will I have to do the letter verification and answer the six questions, before I post? Is that a newbie thing? Or is it just security that everyone has to do? It's not a big deal, just haven't ever seen that before.

Welcome to the forum Dave. If things get a little slow here, try having a look at the Remington 1858  forum. A lot of us hang out there too.

It's kinda quiet around here. I'm sure it's the time of year, lots of holiday hustle and bustle! I made a few posts here and there, just to hopefully get some conversation going.

Hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas!

Welcome Dave. It has been quiet for a while. We are a smaller group and have pretty much shown off all of our guns and individual skills related to our interests. We have also pretty much exhausted the gunmithing issues. In fact, we even added multiple long gun catagories a few years ago to give us more to talk about. So with that being said, you are a welcome addition. Take part all you want and post up plenty of pictures.

Thanks Scooby, I certainly will!

There is a massive amount of information here. I've been reading for days! I don't know if I have anything new to add, but I'll sure try. All I know is, I love these guns. I don't even own a centerfire gun anymore, except for my shotguns. My main area of interest is these Colts and their copies.

Thanks for the warm welcome from everyone.

Sorry I missed this when it was fresh. With some new "blood" hopefully there will be more activity. Welcome from Wisconsin!
