It's a PITA trying to load out of a car trunk.
Yeah, I hear ya.

I bring a wooden TV tray with me to put my powder, balls, caps and accessories on when I go out to my remote spot to shoot. Lot easier than loading from the back of my Jeep.
My biggest concern is that when I pass away, my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

I just put the piece in a left hand hold and load up.

It's a little more complicated than that with a cluttered trunk. I usually sit on the tailgate of my pickup where I can lay stuff out and put the gun between my legs while I fill the measure.

Using a measure is the best way for safety but I’m afraid I usually throw from a flask (at the range) … very carefully.  On a woods run my habit is to use paper carts.

My flask only throws a 20 grain charge and that don't cut it. It doesn't help much that I use a rifle measure either.
