My father in law wanted me to watch the movie "Purgatory" with him the other evening. I won't reveal much of the plot but its a mix of religious movie and western; it aired on TNT back in 1999. Movie quality aside, one character dual wielded 1851 Navy's.
Highlights - The Navy's were actually quite nice
Lowlights - The usual, on close ups they are standard 1851's, however in the firefights the character is using a cartridge conversion, including during "reloading" scenes.
the Weird - Perhaps some of you SASS guys or Cowboy Action people might know why, but the Navy wielder had them both in cross draw holsters, butt facing out, and yet drew them straight instead of cross, basically sweeping himself with both barrels on each draw. Why would anyone do that?
