I've gone down the same route - only for different reasons.  Picked up a pair of Richards-Mason .38s with 5 1/2 inch barrels to replace the 2nd Gen '61 Navies I've been shooting in SASS matches for the last 10 years or so.  Having been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease last August, I now know why shooting cap guns was getting to be such a chore.  Loading 38s is a lot easier.

Well dang it Fingers, sorry to hear that. Hopefully the R-M .38's make it so shooting is still enjoyable for you.

The R-Ms are keeping me in the game -shooting Landrun next week.  The PD slows you down though so I'm not competitive any more.

Hi Dave, those look very nice. Do those revolvers have the firing pin on the hammer? Look forward to seeing your shooting report.

Regards,
Richard

Thanks Richard. And yes Sir, hammer and firing pin like the originals.

Not quite, as originals were .44 RF.........................Jim

You're absolutely correct Jim. We're as close to original as we can get.

Nice original pistols you have there too. I like the grips on the shorter barreled gun.

Because of the ludicrous laws, in the People's Republic of Kommiefornia, I have had to wait a month to start the paperwork on the 72's. Today was the day to start pistol #1. Now I'll have to wait 10 days to pick it up, then another 30 days to do the paperwork on her twin sister. And of course wait another 10 days after that to pick her up. At least this beauty will be out of jail in 9 more days!

It will be early July before she's reunited with her sister. I'll keep you posted.

Dave, when the sibling gets home you will be a happy camper!

We are all awaiting a range report when it happens.

Jim

Finally picked up pistol #1 today! It does not disappoint! What a gorgeous piece of machinery. I can't wait to burn some black powder in it.

I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

The twins have finally been reunited! It's been a long road to here, because of the ridiculous gun laws in this God forsaken state. But here they are.

Now I can leave my C&B pistols as they were intended and not have to use conversion cylinders. I'm a happy camper!

Are the open tops also produced with the short arbors?  GF
