Hi Hewy, it's an Uberti. I also like the brass backstrap on the civilian, a lot easier to maintain than steel.

Richard,

I am at a loss here. What is so hard to maintain concerning a steel 1860 backstrap when the barrel and cylinder are blued steel? If one is concerned about oil from the hand wearing/contaminating the blue on the BS, a soft cloth and oil will remove any contaminants.

Jim

Hi Jim, I prefer brass backstraps over steel. Do I need your permission?

Regards,
Richard

No sir, you don't need my permission for anything. I was just making a benign comment to your post. Obviously you did not see it that way. No need to be snarky.

Have a good day, Richard.

Hewy, you can use a Pietta 44 Navy (rebated) frame. 3 screws and will fit an Army barrel.
