Hi, it's done, sort of. The Traditions Kentucky pistol was assembled. There was one problem with a part, the rear ramrod thimble is the wrong size. Traditions sent a huge thimble much larger in diameter than the Kentucky rear thimble should be. They must have put the wrong part in the kit. I will contact Traditions to get the correct thimble.
Overall, the pistol came out well. The only issue I have is the wood used in the kit. If the wood would have been walnut, this pistol would be the most outstanding single shot BP pistol I own. My best is still the Pedersoli Kentucky flintlock that has a beautiful walnut stock. One nice aspect of the Traditions Kentucky pistol is that there is an adjustment screw for the lock sear. That will allow this pistol to have a very light trigger pull compared to my other BP single stage trigger single shot pistols.
