Cowboys and Aliens?!?!
« on: April 21, 2020, 02:59:29 PM »
Has anyone else watched this HORRIBLE movie?!?!

I watched it last night, just because of the cast. It has Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Keith Carradine, and a few other notable people in it. That's the only reason I decided to watch. I figured that even with a goofy title like "Cowboys and Aliens", it might have some merit with big name stars in it. Boy was I wrong!!!!

This movie is a total train wreck, followed by a dumpster fire! I sat through the whole thing, only because I had invested time in it and wanted to see it through. You may want to watch it, just for a laugh!

I haven't gotten that desperate for something to watch yet.

Very strange indeed Jim!

That's for sure! I just kept going and going with it. I couldn't shut it off, because I had already invested too much time in it. I just had to see the end.

To pass the time lately, I have recorded and watched a few strange flicks. Yesterday I watched "The Domestics". I watched it all the way through and had some dreams last night.

Not too bad.

It very much was, but weird with things that I would have not anticipated. Sometimes kind of hokey but very real at other times.

I also took advantage of a freebie session (I don't subscribe) of the entire season of War Of The Worlds. I watched all eight episodes (this is Season 1). I have mixed emotions about it. It is based basically in France, but some of the people speak French (with English subtitles) and others speak English. It took a couple of episodes to get used to it. There are many dull psychological-type pauses in the plot. It is not a remake of the original movie and is much more involved plot-wise with personal relationships with the characters.

I usually spend at least 1/2 hour each day perusing all of the DirecTv channels to see what is newly offered. I even recorded "Escape From New York" with Kurt Russell, which I have seen before. I would normally be watching recorded NHL games but that is out of the question for the foreseeable future, and I don't want to watch reruns of Stanley Cup games on the NHL Network from years past. I am suffering from a bit of withdrawal but it will pass.
