He does.  After emptying out a cylinder he always turns back to the camera chuckling and grinnin’ and you can tell he has fun.  He has a reservoir of enthusiasm that always shows up.

That was a very informative vid.  I needed to hear some of those facts.  That was a valuable treatment on the recent history of those.  Good work and thanks, ssb.

Mike's videos are always great and entertaining. Like you guys said, he's always got a smile and a chuckle.

I also like that he dresses in period garb, for whatever gun he's presenting. It just makes it that much more fun.

All that being the case, the action parts were still made pretty much like the Italian parts. The left bolt arm should be thinner than the right one, the bolt side of the combo spring should be thinner than the trigger side,  not to mention the arbors were still too short!! Probably would have been cheaper to let the Italians supply all of it. But .  .  .   whatever .  .  .   as long as something is built per a manufacturers plans/tolerances and finished accordingly, it is a "        " (whatever it is).

Just so you know, the originals I've worked on looked like they were machined with a drill bit!! And dull at that!! Lol

Mike,  by "original" do you mean 1800's vintage or more modern originals? I have never handled a civil war era or shortly theteafter Colt so am unaware of the machining capibility's of Col. Colt in his heyday.

Also being I have your attention ... what was the steel in the originals like ... is the Italian replica's steel as good, same or better then original Colts. And those soft Italian screws ... originals as soft or are we blessed with SPECIAL soft screws
