Very nice! I see very few of the full-fluted models out there for sale.

All 3 look real good. I sort of envy anyone who can pick up a nice used (or un-used for that matter) cap & ball pistol. Around here the only thing available is new (with coresponding price). And I am a little hesitant to buy sight un-seen on line. Just me, but I've been burned too many times to be too trusting. Good luck with them and like has been said, Enjoy the heck out of them. )k*  L@.

Near Hershey Pa. Could go to Hamburg, Pa, to Cabela's, but that just makes me cry to see all they have at prices I just can't get the wife to approve. Such is life. J*j

Have you tried the gun auction sites?

Have you tried the gun auction sites?

Like I said, I've been burned a few too many times to plunk that much money down sight unseen.  For something more like $25 to $50, yes I'll go the auction route, but when we're talking $150 or $175, I just can't seem to trust someone unknown.  Now if it were someone I know, like someone on here, now that's a different story, if you get my drift.  Thanks for the suggestion, though. *?.

Kaboom, you have some good looking guns there.
When you go to Cabela's check the bargin cave.
The Cabela's in Rogers AR. has had as many as
8 black powder revolvers at a time discounted,
not all are good deals but every now and then
I see a good deal.

I guess I should add one more here. Since my last one here, my fantastic wifey has allowed me to order my Christmas present. An 1860 Colts Army revolver. Brandy New, even, from Cabela's. Wonders will never cease. Just a few days ago she informed me that no new guns would be purchased, period! Maybe she just didn't want me jumpin' the gun, as it were. Anyway, it should be here by the 23rd. Wonderful Christmas this year.   )k* )k*

I have purchased a number of guns off the auction sites at very good prices. Yeah, I've been burned a few times, but I usually end up with a nice piece when finished. You have to go at it as if you are buying a project gun, 'cuz you are. Some of my projects required little, others a great deal. But it's a lot of fun working them and you a) learn a lot, and b) end up with a boatload of guns in a very short time. Secret is to never pay what you would for a new Cabela's gun. Figure no more than, say, $150 for a brasser and $200 for a steelie, and in many cases, you will come in lower. Quite a bit lower. If they overshoot your budget, you walk. On the other hand, I've heard of a few folks very disenchanted with a new gun that didn't meet their expectations; of course you can always exchange it, but that's a hassle too. Buying a project, you go into it knowing it's gonna need work and the end result is usually worth the effort.
And yes,I get your drift..... ;)

On the other hand, if you are gettin' a new pistola from the wife, I suggest you run with it and return the favor by buying her something REALLY special in return! L@.
