« on: August 01, 2020, 11:11:30 AM »
This is up on an online auction I am watching - can someone give me an idea of what I should pay for it if I decided to bid? It's a Colt branded modern reproduction I believe, has a grey Colt box.

Dealer Description - Colt model 1847 Walker Gen. 2, .44 Percussion six shot single action revolver, w/ bbl length 229mm [Polish blued barrel and cylinder, case hardened frame and ram rod, fixed sights. Smooth wooden grips and brass trigger guard. Ornately engraved cylinder depicting the panoramic scene of a fight between the Texas Ranger Capt. Jay Hays and his rangers against the Comanche Indians at Enchanted Rock. Includes original fitted box. Appears unfired with the slightest of cylinder ring and very minor handling marks.] serial # 4676

Thanks

Grey Colt box makes it a Signature Series, 3rd Generation.  2nd Gens came in a black box with gold lettering an a gold label on the end of the box.  2nd Gen serial numbers were between 1200 and 3772; and 32256 and 32500.

I wouldnt give more than $500 for it.  Having handling marks an being cycled with a turn lline on the cylinder; it's a shooter, not a collectible.
