Go to your local service garage and pick up an empty can or 2 of STP. You can drain those and get 1/4 to 3/4 teaspoon of STP. a little goes a long way.

You are probably right; I have never tried it myself. It could be thinned a bit with mineral spirits or denatured alcohol. I had seen this posted somewhere else, and passed it on.
