Hi, I needed another BP revolver like a hole in my head, but saw the Leech & Rigdon on sale on Dixie. Don't have one of these revolvers so just ordered one.

You purchased a Leech & Rigdon (with a 6 stop slot cylinder), not a Rigdon & Ansley (with a 12 stop slot cylinder), Not only that, the current Uberti models have an engraved cylinder (not historical) while the very early Uberti versions had the plain cylinder (historical). You can rectify that if VTI has one in stock.

Hate to break it to you, Richard, but maybe the Scotch is not the right approach. Ask me how I know.       

OTOH, that is a totally gorgeous piece, HC or not. Something tells me you won't regret buying this.

My last Scotch was Balvenie, still have a bit left. It is not something I buy regularly! As far as historically correct....it ain't if it wasn't made in the 1850s.

Wait! Don't cancel that order! This may be for the best anyway. Get out the files and sandpaper and turn that one into a Dance. You're only two recoil shields away from it. Dave can tell you how to remove the engraving on the cylinder, too. Once you get addicted to a taste of modding, you'll find there's no greater satisfaction.

Yes, it did, and I concur as he already has a L&R.

Scotch has a way of doing things to the brain, but tequila is much worse (or better, depending upon your point of view).
