Is this a frame from a pocket revolver or the belt model?  An 1848 Baby Dragoon/Wells Fargo or an 1851/1860?

StrawHat, I really don't know what model, but think the '51/'60 would probably be right.

Interesting, a 22 LR on the belt model frame.  It will work into a heavy revolver but still a neat idea.  At some point, I want to take an 1851 and sleeve everything down to 31.  Kind of a Manhatten replica.  Fortunately, I have very little free time anymore and lots of projects ahead of that one!

I notice there is a cutout for the cartridge in the recoil shield...I will assume it is groove is positioned so that the shells can't fall out when the cylinder is locked in battery. But how about when the muzzle is up and the cylinder is rotating? Can a .22 slide backward and jam the action, or worse yet, ignite the rimfire primer?

I just looked at the photos again.  The frame is rebated, so maybe for an 1860.  Anyway, nice work so far.
