American Pioneer Powder ?
« on: February 12, 2021, 09:57:51 AM »
Oh boy, what you don't find when you reach further back into the old powder cubbord. I found an unopened container of FFFg by American Pioneer Powder. It is a BP substitute but can be used volume for volume with BP ,though it says on the plastic container. Has anybody used this powder before? Is it safe in my BP revolvers? I probably bought it for my long guns at the time since I didn't have any BP revolvers then.

I've never used it but it's safe.

Hi Powder Burn, American Pioneer powder is the same as my favorite BP sub, Black Mz. Black Mz is now discontinued, but I still have a little over 20lbs left that should last me awhile.  It's a great powder that makes lots of smoke and is the least corrosive propellant.

Regards,
Richard
