Hi, an 1851 Pietta Navy compared to an 1851 Uberti Navy photo.

Come on guys, it maybe too cold to shoot, but you must have a few photos to share here?

Regards,
Richard

Here's one you don't see too often,  a half fluted 1860.    Looks like an over-sized pocket police.

That's a great comparison picture Richard. And it's pretty easy to see which is which too.

I don't think I've ever seen a half fluted Army Mike. In fact, I didn't know they existed. Thanks for posting that. I learned something today.

Hi Kirk, they are just like children, you love them both. The Uberti is probably more true to the original, but needs work to shoot. The Pietta comes right out of the box ready to roll. I have thirteen 1851s, both Pietta and Uberti. If I could only own one, it would be the Uberti. All the Pietta stamping on the barrel is a downer.

Regards,
Richard

Hi Mike, nice photo of your fluted 1860. The fluted 1860 I bought from Bruce is one of my favorate 1860s. A photo of my different 1860s is coming tomorrow.

I'm waiting to get Finger to wake up and crank out some photos of his gorgeous collection. Fingers, wake up!!

Richard

Great stuff Richard! And since we're on a bit of a theme, here's my full fluted that I let go last year.
