Only see as an attachment as I did not link to a hosted video but actually uploaded a local video from my videos on my PC.

Hi Zulch,
I tested all four:
the .mov downloads and starts directly
the .mpg downloads but has to be opened by VLC
the .wmv dito
the .webm opens directly
Seems the .mov extention would be the simplest, as one gets it right out of a camera.
Now then, did you just attach the movies as if they were ordinary photos???

 Hi. Thank you for the reply. I just used the attach option and uploaded that way. Is there another method? If so, please share with me :-)

Zulch, how long time did it take for the .mov to be loaded? I just tried with a short .mov but it just kept on chewing

That's a tad before my time Tim! My grandfather was 14 years old though!

That's a way I hadn't tried to upload a video. Nice to know it works.

Most people put the videos on Youtube and then post a link. The link will appear as a thumbnail and the video will play within the post.

The embedding should be automatic, Tim. May have to fiddle with the dials some more.

Indeed I did! When I saw "1928" I laughed! I'm old, but not THAT old!!


The video will embed all by it's self Tim. Just copy and paste the link from Youtube to your post. When it comes up, the video will embed. Try it so I can see if it worked please.

Okay. let me make sure I understand. Will it just be a link to the video or will you see the actual video window on the post? The videos that I uploaded early this morning were from my computer. I tried to embed a Youtube earlier but all it put on the post was a link. I deleted and said disregard on that post. If that is what it will be then I will do that. :-)
