Today I shot my Uberti 1851 Navy again.
Man, that gun is fantastic!
It fits my hand perfectly. And I just can't miss with it.
44 out of 44 shots rang my 5" plate at 30' one handed.
I am loving it.

The '51 Navy is the pointin'est sixgun ever made, IMHO. Any wonder why Wild Bill carried his brace of '51s well into the cartridge era?
Try this trick, Doc. First, MAKE SURE YOUR GUN IS 100% EMPTY! Then, hold the gun at your side and sight in on an object say, 25 yards away. Close your eyes, and raise the Navy to where you think your target is and then open them. You might be totally shocked to find you are dead-nuts or damn close to it. Now, try this with any other revolver you have and you will immediately see why the Navy is King.

Honestly It pointed a bit to the left. But when eyes are open and sights are on target, it hits exactly. And i suppose that's what we want.

You really need to load up one cylinder full with 25 grain loads. Just for the experience.

I'm retired too Doc. Just aren't too many places to go and recreational shoot. I tried the whole SASS thing and it wasn't for me. We have two private gun clubs but they both have 1 year+ waiting lists to join. Not to mention the annual fee and join up fee.

I really need to find somewhere besides Kommiefornia to live.
