Cabelas is still listing Remington #10 percussion caps as available @12.99/100.
Yes, that's a lot of money but consider how long it's taken for them to come back into stock. Unless you are stocked to the gills, I would highly suggest jumping on this.

I found CCI #11 caps in my local Walmart on Saturday for $5.99/100.   I bought 6 tins and left 6 for the next guy.
Been feeling guilty for buying any at all,  especially after putting them with the others I have stored and realizing how many I already have.   Buying caps is becoming a compulsive behavior for me.

Hey Mike. I was feeling the same way the other day about caps. I've got quite a bit and have been getting the fever to buy some more. Walmart here in this area seem to never have any caps but I haven't been. It's just like being on a mission looking for these things especially being able to find locally versus internet frenzy. Glad you found some. Encouraging. :cowboypistol:

Encouraging indeed. I really get tired of hearing people say the insane prices are the new norm, and we will never see it (caps, primers, powder etc.) at a lower price again. It's a breath of fresh air to see caps at half of what the cheapest price was, just a few weeks ago.

I’ve had scouts out in Oregon, North and Southern California. My friends and family are a sporting crowd.  They tend to hang out in gun shops and supporting good stores.  Not all of them shoot but they know I’m on the make for Remington number tens and they find them for me, sometimes it
at a pretty good price.  I don’t mean to hoard but at this point I do have a shit load.  I’ll use them and it won’t take long until I’ll need some more.

For those of you who shoot BPCR...Powder Valley has large rifle primers for $89.00/k limit 5k per day. That's $20 off retail and covers your hazmat fee.

Checked at Academy yesterday and they had CCI No. 11 caps for $12.99. Also had a full selection of primers, also CCI, at the currently typical prices. I didn't buy anything.

I think the last time I bought some CCI 11's they were $7.49 per tin 100 count? Could it be that prices have gone that high in two years? Maybe I am wrong on the price that I paid two years ago.

I'm just happy to see them becoming locally available again. I'm not ready to pay that price, but hopefully they will come back down before I run short.

Just got back from a trip to West Virginia. Primarily SW corner(Mingo County) which borders Kentucky. Surprised and a bit disappointed to not locate any gun stores. I was born in the general area and have been making trips back to investigate family history, but I guess I better make finding a gun store a priority on the next trip. At least I saw some beautiful scenery in those mountains!

Have you looked on Google Maps? I just looked and saw quite a few in the area, that might be worth checking out.
It's pretty difficult to find the kind of gun shop I really like, though. Lots of old stuff, black powder guns and accessories, and other odds and ends. Basically a hole in the wall that most people don't know about. Those are rare.
