Great pair of revolvers 8) 8) 8) 8)
Let us speak courteously, deal fairly, and keep ourselves armed and ready

I hope I have not created any confusion, the beautifully engraved and plated Colt 1862 was merely inspiration and has never even been seen by my eyes except in photos.

The story of this Colt is found here, and it is an interesting read.

And while I wish it were in my possession, I am glad it remians int he original family and they seem to understand the role it played in history.

Strawhat,

Your revolver is great looking. Is it an original? If it is, it is fantastic. What year was it made?

Well, it is an original Uberti and was built in 1988 (I believe, working from memory, not a list).  I stocked in with smooth stag when I was traveling in Arizona, just after I got it.  The case is from a 31 Baby Dragoon but hte Pocket Police seems to look better in it.

I was going to buy another Pocket Police, (an engraved, plated one) when I got back under 200 pounds but by the time that happened, it had been sold!

The sold revolver

When I was stationed in Virginia, a guy that I knew that ran a pawn shop picked up a pair of cartridge conversion Police models in an estate sale. Fully engraved, Tiffany grips and cased. Beautiful, got them both for 5,000, Estimated value at roughly 15,000. He said he wasn't selling them, they were just too nice.
