Yup, looks like time for a round-up.
I reckon folks are clicking on the old link and seeing nothing has changed. Somehow we gotta get the word out.

Most of the contact info I have is for the guys that are already here.      When I asked for contact info from members a few months ago the response was underwhelming to say the least.

I posted the new info on my personal FaceBook page and my LeathersmithMike page.   Also posted on the Black Powder Revolvers FB page.  I don't hang out there but I know at least a couple members from here used to.

Pustic, Kirk and all the others that got the Colt forum back haven't done anything with the Remington or Collectors forum. That will have to be Smokey's doing if he is still around. Those may be gone if Smokey can't renew his contracts.

They're not completely gone Em. We have a copy of both forums stashed away. But we can't do anything with them at this time. If Tim ever re-surfaces, hopefully he'll keep them afloat. If he doesn't and everything expires, we can resurrect it similar to how we saved Colt Country. When I saw "we", I mean Tom.

Right now it's a wait and see situation.

Right now, yes. For now we're concentrating on Colt Country. But in the future, well we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Em, technically the domains and web hosting on those two forums belong to Smokey. The web hosting services won't allow anyone other than Smokey to renew the SSL or web hosting domains so there is little we can do at this point in time. As Dave said, if we purchased new web hosting and domains, we could transfer the data from our saved files...but it would be costly, and the data within belongs to Smokey when it comes down to it.

So glad you found your way here! Did you get my email or my newsletter from the forum? Seems like the newsletters have been hit-or-miss with people
