The story behind this: my field is contiguous with our neighbor's field. Our properties were the original farm that was divided in half. Our half has the smaller field, the house and outbuildings, and woods. A house was built on the other half several years ago. The fields are rented by a nearby farmer who has a large herd of dairy cows, thus the need to have a place to spread manure. He also rents other near by fields.
