New Poll-BPCR
« on: September 23, 2021, 10:31:30 AM »
How many of you load/shoot BPCR, (Black Powder Cartridge Rifle, i.e. reloading and shooting cartridges for BP rifles and handguns) have done it, or are considering doing it in the future? I know everyone here gets into the sport with the intent of buying a black powder revolver or rifle and loading loose powder and ball. Some like it that way and have no intentions of doing otherwise...and that's fine. That's how I started out and remained for a good long while. But then curiosity got the best of me  ^j) and I had to try it for myself.
So, let's see a show of hands on this topic. Please do the attached poll so we can see how many have no interest, some interest, or a lot!  :signthankspin:

The closest thing I have to a BPCR is a 30-30 Winchester. (7+" I would love to get my hands on a Sharps or a rolling block. I did have an original trapdoor carbine but I sold it. I didn't want to but he made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

Depends on what you call old. It was made in 79 and is pretty rough but it's taken more deer than a lot of them have. It shoots a lot better than it looks.

Yeah, I've seen pix of those "ratty" Brownings. Any time you want to dispose of them, you know who to call...

I load 44-40 but all I have now is my Uberti 73. I sold my Rossi 92. Well I will start loading bp in .38 Special but haven't loaded any yet.

I only have the 66 to shoot 44-40 out of. And since I gave up CAS, I never shoot it. I'm still contemplating selling the rifle and all the associated paraphernalia.

I would love to have that but no way could I afford it.

I doubt it. Not unless we get another stimulus check and that's not likely to happen.
