Is reloading equipment becoming available again?

Midway is fairly well stocked with Lee stuff. The others are still hit-or-miss.

LOL, guys.

You can spend as much as you want but if you look at that Challenger set, it lists what else you will need at the bottom. Then you should be able to find those items at Midway. For dies, I like the Lee carbide 3-die set (+-$43) or the Lee carbide 4-die set which includes the Lee factory crimp die (+-$50) which does a great job on the crimp. Midway has the best prices for those.

Marshal. Yeah I think Midway in general has very good prices. I need to make  a list of items by proper title/name so I can find the items. You know, like what is a capitulated franistan or a watchuhmadoogie..etc. HAHAHAHAHA

Of note; If you go with the Lee dies, most sets come with either 3 or 4 dies (depending on which set you buy, with or without FCD), a powder dipper, and a shell holder. The RCBS Cowboy die set I mentioned DOES NOT come with a factory crimp die (that's strictly a Lee thing, included in the 4 die set) nor a shell holder (you have to purchase separately)

Most die sets other than Lee do not come with shell holders.

So Cap,  It sounds like a can get a kit which will have "most" of what I need? A few peripheral items bought separately? Correct me if i am wrong please. Lee sounds like the way to go?

Lee is the way I got started. I bought one single stage press then added 2 more as time passed so I could have everything ready to go without switching dies. Eventually I went to a Dillon 550 but that was over some 30 years. I still have those Lee presses somewhere in a box. You can always upgrade or get other equipment. You may find that you don't use them much so the initial investment won't be huge. That kit has a balance beam scale, primer tool and an adjustable powder dispenser. A balance beam scale is way better than an electronic one. I've tried three different electronic ones and they were all dangerously inaccurate, regardless of the brand or amount of money they cost, so I've stayed with the balance beam scale. The batteries don't run down, either.
