Under pressure
« on: February 08, 2022, 11:52:02 AM »
An interesting topic came up between Shotgun Dave, myself and Zulch today WRT my 'Goonerized' ASM Walker. Mainly, the fact my original cylinder has a 'pressure ring' rolled in (the line visible in the pic below in between the engraving and the cylinder stop ovals):

Mike mentioned that he has seen this pressure ridge in photos of original Walkers, but never "in person" until mine.
Do any of you Walker owners have cylinders with this pressure ridge, or have any info about them you could share?

Found this image on Google of an original Walker, which clearly shows the pressure ridge present.

None of mine have the pressure ring. But I will say that I like the way it looks. I'll be curious to know if anyone else's guns have it.

Is it just me, or is the loading lever longer on the original versus the Italian job?

The loading lever does look longer to me as well Dave. Comparing it to a Uberti Walker replica.

Yep, looks to be nearly an inch longer
