I've never done it. But it sure would be interesting to try.

Rick. I have never read anything about anyone making their own flask🤔 I agree with Dave. That would be interesting. Are you considering giving it a try?

I’m thinking about trying.  I’m researching proper brass sheet,  appropriate gauge,  forming tools etc.  I’ve done some brass work some years ago when I made a thimble and nose cap for my flint lock.  Those  parts have been working for 10 years.  Use a stump hollowed out, wooden hammer.  Heat and aneal,  start over.  Clean the surface with LSR cleaner, solder the parts.  It’s like joining copper plumbing pipeline

Rick, Hope you are well. Just curious, not rushing you, just excited about seeing your next post on where you are with research etc. on the flask. I know it will be very interesting.  :usa-flag-89:

Thanks for your patience . I’m in an art class at a local collage.  In focusing on assignments.  I’ve not ordered brass plate yet. I’m guessing 5x10  at 1/16 thick.  I have a log “ anvil”. For this in my shop.
