Finally! Did some shooting!

We got to get away yesterday and shoot some guns. I finally got to try out my Goonerized pistols too, and I wasn't disappointed! We even took the M1 Garand out and my wife and daughter shot it. Really fun day. We had a couple malfunctions, including a chain fire while my daughter was shooting her 49 Pocket Model. I'll address that in a separate post. You can actually see it happen on her last shot in this video.

Thanks Tim. It was fun indeed and much needed. I just noticed it had been one year to the day that we last went shooting. That's pretty disgraceful. I gotta do better.

Technically, yes. But they do have designated areas where they want you to shoot for other's safety. There's usually quite a bit of other people out enjoying public land, doing other activities like off-road vehicle use and hiking. So they would prefer you did it in designated areas. But legally there's nothing they can do to stop you.

I actually get to the range quite frequently but don't shoot blackpowder very often. Last time out I shot my TC Hawken   50 cal. With time constraints it's just faster and easier to shoot smokeless.
