Not a Colt
« on: March 04, 2022, 01:06:48 PM »
Got a 9mm bullseye competition tomorrow 25 metres single hand precision.

She's a Norinco, a faithful copy of a Colt 1911, isn't she pretty ?

Wish me luck ?

It's been heavily modified. I hope it shoots as good as it looks. Back in the day they were sought after for making race guns because the steel in them is so hard. A lot harder than anybody else uses. Gunsmiths hated them.

Yeah, no longer available to you in the U.S thanks to Slick Willy Clinton.

I did all the mods except the plating on the frame. Originally it's was .45acp, from the factory a 1911A1 copy. The blued slide in the pic is a 9mm conversion kit.

The original forty five slide is plated same as the frame. It shoots superbly in both calibres, very accurate and reliable.

Takes seconds to switch calibres.

Thanks for all the best of luck wishes gents but I'm not really a 25 metre bullseye precision shooter.....I probably didn't do very well  :nocomment:

I'll be looking forward to hearing, no matter the results. At least you're out shooting and competing. That's a lot more than most of us are doing.

Hey NecessaryEvil...You placed pretty okay it looks. As you said, did not place last. :)  I'll bet that was fun. How often do you have the opportunity to compete?

They run a few competitions every month. 9mm, .22 and Fuego central, all strong hand 25 metre bullseye shoots.

April is the 1st IPSC comp this year, I do well in them. Production optic with my Glock 17 or Sig Sauer P228.
