My Peabody rifle
« on: June 29, 2017, 03:41:20 PM »
This rifle doesn't fall into any of the categories listed, except here under "miscellaneous". This is a Peabody rifle I have had for a while now. I have some brass for it now; it was sold to me as a 45-50 caliber. It takes a necked down cartridge formed from 50 Basic.

There is pretty decent barrel blue, the bands are nice and bright.

Screws are all nice, and the bore is shiny bright!

Really nice mazo. Black powder cartridges only I assume.
My biggest concern is that when I pass away, my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

I do indeed like that one, Mazo! Clean, simple and elegant.

Don't know anything about a Peabody but this one looks like fun.
