Zulch...............Yes pretty much.

I visited Portugal a few weeks ago it's even more expensive there, about 2.20€ a litre, but then again it always was. We stayed in a border town called Ayamonte in Spain from which it's a ten minute drive over the International Bridge into Portugal.

The petrols stations in Ayamonte were full of Portuguese drivers buying fuel.

I just drove my motorhome over to Gilroy to get service work done. $1.10/mile = $33.00 just for the gas there and back at today's prices. Let's go Brandon.

Drove up to Carson City, Nevada today and back, for an an appointment, 300 mile round trip. Gas averaged $5.55 gal in Carson City, and on the way home I stopped in Bridgeport, Calif in the Eastern Sierra and snapped this pic at the Shell station. Bridgeport, just north of Yosemite Nat'l Park and near the ghost town of Bodie, is a tiny town, very rural, and usually has the highest gas prices in the lower 48 states.

Incredible BishopCreek! Never seen it that high. Bodie is very interesting. Been there once. Found this book in Palm Springs copyright 1956. I tried to get gas in Bodie but but LOL just kidding.

A true quote from a young girl at the time G Dog. In the 1860s and '70s, Bodie had more shootings and gunfights than any other place in the Old West, including Dodge City, Tombstone. etc.

A pro-Bodie newspaper editor, in Bodie, thought the girl's grammar/punctuation was defective.  He said what she meant was "Good, by-God.  I'm going to Bodie.

Mark Twain stayed at the Bridgeport Inn.  I wonder what gas prices were at the Shell station then?

Filled up yesterday in Clovis Ca. didn't think of taking a picture at the Chevron station, regular was $6.39 per gallon.     
My wife asked how much I said I quit looking after it passed 
$70.00  :)O
