Rest In Peace Queen Elizabeth II.  The last of the leaders who came from that greatest generation.  Gracious,  kind and a wonderful sense of humor.

The new fashion for the left is calling her a monster because of all "the blood spilled" by the British empire.

They can go take a flying leap off the white cliffs of Dover.

No kidding Captain. The late, great Tiger hunter of India, Jim Corbett (1875-1955), who wrote many great books including the "Man-Eaters of Kumaon" was tasked with guarding Princess Elizabeth and her husband when they spent the night in a crude hotel-like tree house in Kenya, Africa in 1952 the night her father, King George IV died. Corbett wrote a very short booklet about his guarding the ladder up to the rooms against possible attacks by Leopards. He called the little book "Tree Tops" and showed his great admiration for Elizabeth who climbed the ladder up to her room as a Princess but descended the next day a Queen.

If you enjoy rugged, outdoor books about hunting dangerous game, Corbett's books are the best. He saved literally hundreds of lives in India by killing man eating Tigers and Leopards. Capstick's African adventure books, as good as they are, can't hold a candle to Corbett's books.

My biggest concern is that when I pass away, my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.
