Hi, I'm envious. There hasn't been pheasants in my area for years. Probability due to the large coyote and fox population here. However, we do have turkeys, lots of turkeys. One day before opening season on turkey, we had six turkeys walk through our back yard. My trigger finger was just twitching, twitching, and twitching.
Wild turkey makes for great eating. The legs aren't good for much, but the white meat is so good, milder and much better tasting than farm raised turkey.
Regards,
Richard
