Installing Magna Tusk ivories om a new Model P
« on: November 07, 2022, 11:52:36 AM »
I am installing a pair of Magna Tusk ivories om a new Cimarron Model P. They come pretty well matched to the grip frame, but I like them alittle tighter to the gun frame also.   :cowboypistol:

Nice job, it looks like you are pretty close. Not familiar with that company, the grips look good.
Only Blackpowder is interesting.

It always bothers me to hold a sixgun with either wood or metal proud. It should be a seamless transition IMHO.

Man that looks good! I've heard really good things about MagnaTusk grips. I'm kinda partial to the ivory/bone look.

Adding the ivory always makes the blue/CC SAA look elegant.

I must say that is beautiful Phil. :cowboypistol: Thank you for sharing.
How does that model P handle? I have never had nor actually held one.
It appears to be a small revolver say compared to an 1860 for instance? Thank you

AZ6GUN those grips look great 👍 can you describe your personal fitting process.
All by hand?
Power tools?
Both?
Did you have to repolish grips if so how did you go about it?
