A Pair of Colts
« on: February 02, 2023, 02:54:09 AM »
Hello Guys,

I just had to show off my latest restoration.
It's a 1967 Polaris Colt Model 80, meaning it's powered by a 4-stroke Kohler 8-hp.
Here's a picture of my friend on the left & myself on our Colt 80's, they have consecutive serial numbers.

The only snowmobiles I've seen were in movies.

Well we do drive them, and have fun with them.
I know out on the trail we get lots of looks.
This was at Pequot Lakes, MN a couple weeks ago.
It was their 29th annual show, only canceled twice.
Once for no snow and the other was because of covid,
that year about 35 of us still showed up and went trail riding.
I should mention, Polaris Colts, Mustangs & Chargers were the feature sleds this year.
With 327 sleds at the show, 67 were Colts, Mustangs & Chargers.

Love those vintage machines. Just like vintage bikes. Looks like you had a great time!

Modern machinery sucks. They don't make things like this anymore. In 50 years, these will still be in use but there won't be any 2023 models floating around. Plastic doesn't last like metal.

Old machines have style and class. Not to mention a soul.
