There were a few members in the past that did, IIRC. Have not seen them around lately.

Well, it's not a new gun but it is modern and it has fluid steel barrels. My Dad's old Stevens SxS. The kids and I just took it out a couple weeks ago. Here I am shooting brass hulls loaded with 70gn of FFg. Works just fine.

Not brass but I reload plastic hulls with bp and roll crimp and my shotguns are not exactly modern but some of them are fluid steel. I only shoot them in SXS's and my 1887 Winchester

A couple of my Cowboy Shooting friends use modern doubles with black powder in brass hulls. No problem when using correct size wads, etc.
Only Blackpowder is interesting.

Thanks. That sounds like a fun load.

My cousin used to shoot a 10 ga double with BP in brass shells at CAS matches. I think he put a little more than that in there. It was great fun on the firing line. Lots of boom and smoke.  :-H

Story that a late friend used to tell:  At a Tuesday night trap shoot at a local gun club one of the good ole boys managed to slip a BP shell into another guy's shell bag as a gag.  The shooter was using a Remington  1100 gas operated semi auto.  When the BP shell got touched off, the reults were......quite exciting.  I would have loved to have seen it.   :scared:

This is where the saying "Hold my beer" originated...

...managed to slip a BP shell into another guy's shell bag as a gag...

"Gags" on the shooting range. What fun.

Not to disparage your post Dave, ('cuz I'll bet it was funny to watch!) but the RO should have suspended Bubba's range privileges immediately, and the guy with the 1100 should have unfriended Bubba permanently. Right after punching him in the nose.
I have zero tolerance for stupid pet tricks, especially involving firearms. I'll bet there was a boat load of cleaning to do on that 1100, especially the gas works. And as the owner, I would have found no humor whatsoever in that escapade.

I still have my dads old 12ga double sxs that a couple folks have told me I should start using lite loads in. Do you guys thank bp would be a good way to bring that pressure down from smokeless powder loads? Oh  ShotgunDave that is one cool fire breathing pic you put up there. Even with just wadding you could sit the bad guys butt on fire.
