SASS outfit
« on: June 16, 2023, 07:25:16 PM »
Made this gear for a SASS shooter who is wheelchair bound.  Had to get creative with the holsters, chaps and a couple other things but it turned out OK.

Thanks Hawg.   I hope to see him shoot a match sometime.   He lives in Cheyenne,  about a hour North of here.

Mike,

You do excellent work, plus the fact that you go above & beyond to meet the shooters special requirements.

That is some beautiful work Mike. How did you meet this fella anyway? I'm still amazed at the outstanding talent on this forum! I couldn't sew a shirt button on straight if I tried.

Glad you took the time and effort to figure out what would work for someone with that situation, Mike. I always liked the looks of that "half breed" type of holster. It looks like the rig is cut for percussion pistols?

Thanks Navy Six.    The holsters are made for 1860 conversions.

Thanks Capt.     Notice the .45 Colt and 45-70 cases in tje cartridge slides.   This guy uses a Quigley persona and likes to use the cartridge slides for both calibers.    I don't know how SASS feels about Sharps rifles though.

Magnum Research makes a 45-70 revolver and Bond Arms makes a Derringer in 45-70.      As usual though you are right Hawg.  It's not a pistol caliber so SASS probably doesn't approve.     The customer says he shoots side matches with it.
